Humidity Generator MHG32
The modular humidity generator MHG32 was designed to control humidity in challenging instrument environments. The generation and control of relative humidity directly at the analysis equipment enables a fast and accurate response even at very low flow rates.
The MHG32 provides a maximum flow rate of 500 ml/min and is suitable for chamber volumes from approx. 20 ml up to 25 l. The modular setup and the broad temperature and humidity range make it a perfect match for the most diverse target systems.
Principle of operation
The modular humidity generator consists of a central control unit and an external mixing module.
The central control unit monitors and regulates the flow rates of gases and liquids and sends the media to the mixer in separate lines.
The mixing unit is attached to the outer wall of the test chamber.
Heat loss due to vaporisation enthalpy is compensated directly in the mixing unit. The mixing module is thus thermally neutral and adapts to the operating temperature of the test chamber.
The control unit is equipped for connection of a freely configurable temperature and humiditysensor. This sensor can either be mounted directly on the analysis equipment or installed in the test chamber with thermal separation. Temperature compensation takes place in the control unit.
The special device architecture has the following advantages:
- No dead volume in supply lines, hence optimal response even at low flow rates
- No condensation in supply lines
- Broad temperature and humidity range
- The wetting module is small but powerful
- Customer-specific interface requirements can be fulfilled easily and quickly
